Art

The Arts and Humanities are an integral part of the middle school curriculum at Nittany Valley Charter School. Students have many opportunities to be involved with both the visual and performing arts. In addition, they learn to make an honest and educated response to a variety of artistic endeavors from the past and present, from the work of their peers to the work of world-renowned artists.

The Visual Arts

Middle school students at Nittany Valley Charter School are encouraged to be creative throughout their day and throughout the curriculum. Many activities related to their social studies or language arts lessons include an artistic component. These range from pencil and paper drawings through mural compilation to technology production. In addition to these integrated projects, students may sign up for additional art lessons individualized during Art Studio. A variety of materials and skills instruction are available to students so that they may follow their interests and talents.
