The Middle School Chinese Program
Chinese Language:

Students will:

  • Define and describe Chinese most commonly used sentence patterns,  structures and grammar
  • Create their own sentences by using the sentence patterns and structures
  • Conduct basic conversations such as  greeting, introducing oneself and inquiring about other people's name and professions
  • Know numbers from 0 to 100,000.
  • Apply numbers with telling time, giving dates, and using money.
  • Read and write approximately 350 words

 

Chinese Culture
Students will:

  • Be familiar with the major architectural styles, historical sites, important events and people in the past and today from China or Taiwan.
  • Appreciate Chinese music, art, and food.
