Older students shared their slide shows about the Earth's layers with our younger students. 

Friday, we will go to Carolyn's Farm and learn more about our water shed and seed dispersal. Students should wear close-toed shoes and have a non-microwavable lunch and refillable water bottle.

Thank you so much to Wyatt's dad, Dave Shultz, for the metal artwork donation, "New Dawn"!

Now, we are collecting rocks (painted or not) to make a border around the Pollinator Garden.

Speaking of rocks, next week, we are going to be Rock Detectives! With the help of geologist, Ruth Deike, all grades will interact with specimens and and answer mystery questions. 
*Parents are welcome to come in and help!  The schedule is: Monday 9/18, Grades K-1 8:30 - 10:00 and Grades 2-3 12:45 - 2:15. Tuesday 9/19, Grades 5-8 8:30 - 10:00.

Arboretum Trip

This Friday, while the upper grade students are resting from their three day trip to Washington DC and getting back to the business of school work, the rest of us will go learn about some of the local history in Bellefonte and play at Talleyrand Park.  Students should wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle and a non-microwavable packed lunch.

This Friday we will leave at 9am to go to the
PSU Arboretum. Later, we will walk to the Berkey Creamery to eat our packed lunches. Then the school will pay for everyone to have an
ice cream!   (*Please let me know if your child may not have ice cream or frozen yogurt and we will try to get them an alternative treat. )

Swimming was fun, and we were so glad the weather cooperated!
