A Reminder About The Cold Weather

NVCS Honored as a Green School

Our school was honored at a luncheon hosted by Centre County as a Green Business Partner.  This honor confirms our mission of being environmentally responsible and teaching environmental education actively as part of our every day school experience.

We recycle

We compost

We grow things in our gardens and pull weeds

We learn about reducing waste

We learn about being engaged as an active participant in our community

We learn about nature and an appreciation for the world around us through our field trips

Fundraiser At Five Guys

Five Guys Burger Restaurant has agreed to sponsor a fundraiser to support NVCS from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 25th. If your family eats there, please mention you are supporting Nittany Valley Charter School when you order and they will give back 20% of the sale to our school. No newsletter next week, because of the holiday break.  I did want everyone to know that report cards will be sent home Friday, December 5th, and several teachers have already put up sign up sheets for parent-teacher conferences.  Sign up now to reserve a good time slot.
