Currently, they are taking a close look at the huge amount of food waste in our country. In an attempt to help this problem, the students have decided to help educate our parents and students by giving one bit of information or suggestion in our newsletter each week from the "Food Dude". Here is Kostyn and Tanya's Food Dude: Fact: The number of pounds of waste in the U.S. per year (not counting waste in homes) is over 72 billion pounds!
Student suggestion: Talk with your child about how much they'll eat. Did you know that most of our students throw more than half an apple away? Try apple slices instead. :)
