Please be sure to check out our weekly newsletter,
right here on Fridays, to find out all about
upcoming events and to see pictures of your children learning and having fun throughout the week.
Volunteers needed:
Friday, September 23rd to transport bikes for the older student's bike trail ride.
Someone to clean out the outside stair well that goes down to our library.
Next Friday, we will all be traveling to Carolyn's Farm, to start our year long Environmental Project to improve the habitat of the land while getting lots of hands-on learning opportunities. The students will be surveying different eco-systems on her land, and learning how to identify the plants and animals that live there. They should dress in light-weight long sleeves and pants to avoid poison ivy that may be present. Shannon and Verna's classes will be doing pond study, so rain boots or shoes that can get wet are a really great idea. *As with ALL Friday trips, they should pack a lunch that does not need to be heated, any utensils that they may need, and lots to drink including a refillable water bottle! We go on our field-trips rain or shine so always dress for the weather conditions! :)
Kara and Verna dressed alike, right down
to the shoes! They wanted to feel like
so many of our siblings and twins who dress the same and that attend our school this year.
Interesting fact: We have ten sets of siblings, two of which are twins!
That means that 44% of our population have a relative at our school. We also
have a set of sisters on our staff!
Cool, huh.
